Miniature Bernese Mountain Dog

The Miniature Bernese Mountain Dog: A cross between a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and a Bernese Mountain Dog. Most of the time, the Mini Bernese Mountain Dog looks similar to its purebred counterpart with the added advantage of being a smaller dog. They make a great family companion for owners who love the Bernese Mountain Dog look, but don’t have space for a large dog breed.

Josie my purebred 72 pound Bernese Mountain dog mom and George our 11 pound purebred blue-eyed merle Cavalier Spaniel welcomed 11 of the sweetest most incredible pups to be born here at Escondido Acres of all time.

We never imagined that in Jan of 2024, we would be blessed with 11 Miniature Bernese Mountain dog puppies that would be nearly impossible to part with. Then the excuse of experimental knee surgery in March as a reason to keep these amazing boys and girls to ourselves even longer arose. I guess that all good things must come to an end and I must bless others with these truly exceptional Mini Bernese Mountain dog pups.

They have had 3 sets of vaccines and our cedar scent trained for potty outside. We have recently hired a professional dog trainer and will start basic obedience as we are keeping one and need a professional who has two good knees to work with 11 pups. The comments from everyone about the intelligence and the gentle attitudes, the quiet calm dispositions, the lack of any dominance among siblings everything a breeder and owner could ask for came this year.

I only feel sad I am not more ambulatory to be the one out doing the leash training or sit stay or recall exercises. So currently the price is family-friendly but as the training increases we will also be increasing the cost. This will be the only litter of Mini Bernese for 2024 and we are not in a hurry to place them as they are truly angels with paws like their mother. If you need a service, therapy, or emotional support dog and wish to speak with our trainer privately we can arrange that as well. This litter is small overall in size and stature meaning that we feel most of the pups will mature from 25 to 40 pounds. They are considered an F1 or first Generation with 50 percent Bernese Mountain dog and 50 percent Cavalier Spaniel in each puppy.

Although we are located in Appomattox Va we do have the ability of private transport to the north and southeast by private car and often to LAX and Phoenix by flight nanny for an additional fee.

These puppy photos are current and were taken the second week of April 2024.  We can set up meet and greets by appointment, take videos, or arrange video calls to help with the selection process.
